Collaborative Inquiry: Term 2

Analysing our school wide data over the last 3 years. School wide data over time

The most significant discrepancy was Boys and writing so because of this we have decided to do a collaborative inquiry in Term 2 in Writing.

I have explored some research to share with the team so we can decide on an inquiry focus for Term 2. I will share this with the team so they can read it over the holidays and we can share ideas at beginning of term 2.

School-Wide Goal

2015

The 41 Maori students and 8 Pasifika students who are currently BELOW the National Standards in Reading will make accelerated progress to be at the appropriate standard at the end of 2015 or by their anniversary date.

2016

The 27 Maori students who are currently Below the National Standards in Writing will make accelerated progress to be at the appropriate standard at the end of 2016 or by their anniversary date.

2017:

The 34 Maori students who are currently Below the National Standards in Mathematics will make accelerated progress to be at the appropriate standard at the end of 2017 or by their anniversary date.

2018:

The expectation is that by the end of the year, the majority of Year 5 students will be working at early level 3.
